John was commissioned by Kincumber Rotary and Gosford City Council to design and create a memorial to the rich boat building heritage of the Brisbane Water.
The main memorial is located on the forsehore behind Kincumber Hotel- over time there will be approx 20 mini memorials to acknowledge the individual boat builders, they will be located as close as possible to the original boatbuilding sites
